Ajiri Tea’s Kate Holby informed El Paisano that “we sell the tea and package it here in the U.S., we sell it in about 500 stores, and then 100 % of the profits go back to Kenya to pay school fees for orphans in the same region of western Kenya that the tea farmers and women are (located). So we have 28 students in school right now”.

The main goal of the World Tea Expo is to be the epicenter of the North American specialty tea market, with tea being an $8 billion dollar industry in the US, and is even expected to grow by an additional $7 billion by 2015. This is why the World Tea Expo usually features over 200 different exhibitions is sponsored by more than 20 healthy living companies, and features dozens of conference sessions, focused tastings, skill building workshops, and other special events that can be experienced.
