Avengers: Endgame might surpass ‘Avatar’ at the Box Office

Avengers: Endgame’s Box Office Record

Two weeks since the release of Avengers: Endgame it has made over two billion dollars worldwide at the box office. That being said, this makes Marvels the second highest grossing movie under Avatar. It almost seems that Endgame might break Avatar’s 2.8 billion records. Endgame  proceeds to collide with records at a rapid pace. Box office observers cannot help but ask the dying question: will endgame be able to knock Avatar off its perch? The type got all the audiences curious. Moreover, there has never been a film that has made this much much money in a short amount of time.

Words from Dergarabedian

Media Analyst, Paul Dergarabedian, said, “It’s hard to measure how long it’ll take to get another $600 million in the bank; it really depends on other films coming down the pipeline.” Dergarabedian proceeds, ”if anyone thinks it is an easy accomplishment, they are not looking at the big picture. It is very easy to get caught up in the excitement and put an unrealistic expectation on a movie, but it feels like unrealistic does not apply to the Endgame.”

The Competition between Top Two Movies

It is not easy to hit the $2 billion benchmark. It really depends on the fans being excited to see the movie multiple times in the theater. A strong showing from all audiences domestic and international will help boost its numbers. Majority of Avatar’s striking box office haul came from overseas. The movie earned over two billion overseas by itself. Endgame surpasses the $100 million benchmark in just nine countries excluding the United States. Endgame is profiting from an impressive record at the international box office by hitting $1.5 billion in just two weeks. Other top performing locations include the United Kingdom, Korea, Mexico, Brazil, and India. In North America, Avenger: the endgame has accumulated $620 million. Avatar has done its box office run in the states with just $760 million which is the second highest haul in North America following behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens with $936 million.

Benefits of Premium Tickets

Safe to say, Avengers: Endgame also collects the benefits of premium ticket prices that include IMAX and 3D technology. It is similar to Avatar, whereas the film came at the height of 3d popularity, driving box office records with even higher binge watch lured out to get the golden cinematic first-hand experience. The directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, have decided to use Imax cameras to film the Endgame to present to all the audience the best quality possible,
