First Look at Joaquin Phoenix in Clown Make-Up for Joker Film
The actor in full make-up in what would be the final look for the character in the film.
Director Todd Phillips has released the first look at Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker and Phoenix doesn’t look ready to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.
Phillips brings a completely new appearance for the film titled Joker. No green hair, purple suit, and no face full of makeup. He looks pretty normal. If not, a bit messy. Phoenix’s character will go by Arthur Fleck.
The film is described as an “exploration of a man disregarded by a society that is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale.” Scott Silver co-wrote the script with Phillips.
Warner Brothers have stressed that Phoenix’s portrayal of the Joker will have no effect on its DC Universe. Jared Leto plays the Joker, most recently in “Suicide Squad.” Warner Bros. is also developing a standalone Joker film that will operate within the DC Universe and star Leto. This movie hitting to theaters October 4, 2019.
