Kim Kardashian West launched new concealer kits that are being released March 23 but not everyone is happy. Fans are saying that her concealer are only going to work for woman who have light skin.

The concealer kits only come in 16 different shades but in her campaign photos she has woman in different sizes, ages, and color. Fans have said that she is pretending in her campaign and only used the darker skinned models to get more  sales. Many Fans took to Twitter to express how they feel about her shade range. One person wrote that she wasn’t sure why KKW had dark skinned models when her trash shade range isn’t going to work for them. Many others have said she is “pretending” with the dark skinned models in her campaign. Model Mouna Fadiga, who stars in the campaign, has stepped and came to Kim’s defense.

“To end the conversation because you are talking about me (I am the dark model), I can tell you that they did not choose me only to pretend. I had the make up on and it fits perfectly on my skin color. I am not wearing makeup usually so I know when it’s good or not and here it was the case. I even kept it on me and went to have diner with a friend,” said Fadiga.

Kim nor anyone from the company KKW has spoken up about the backlash that has been going on.

Now in my opinion, concealers are used to brighten up the under eye or anywhere you want to be brighter. For concealers, having 40 plus shades is not necessary. Since Rihanna launched her own beauty line with 40 different foundation shades, other makeup brands had to step up and create more shades. Creating more foundation shades is a must for any makeup brand. Makeup brands need to include everyone of color. In concealers however, having a lot shades is not necessary. Fenty beauty only has 20 shades. KKW beauty only has 4 less than Fenty beauty. The shade range to me looks like everyone can find their shade. Concealers are meant to be lighter than the foundation you are wearing. You want the concealer to brighten up your face not blend in to your foundation.
