Rio Hondo Art Gallery is currently hosting an art exhibition entitled ‘Fresh Spin’ through Sept. 26.

Students are invited to witness for themselves beautiful quilts created by artist such as Lavialle Campbell, Irene Bokman, Ramona Burke, Alissa Haight Carlton, Liza Harvatine, Lauren Hawly and Liberty Worth.

When art is thought about, it is most likely that paintings, sculptures, music, and many other forms come to mind.

There are multiple ways artists can express themselves, whether it be by painting a beautiful piece of art or by sculpting a wicked sculpture.

Like in every other form of art, artists that make quilts also have their own style when it comes to putting together different patterns and colors of fabrics to create beautifully designed pieces.

The exhibit displays beautiful quilts that show the artists’ individual and combined artwork.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am to 3 pm and Monday through Wednesday 6 pm through 9 pm.

There will also be a closing Reception on Sept 24 from 7- 8:30 pm.
