Most of the Rio Hondo clubs set up booths for the annual Rio Hondo Halloween Scene on Thursday, Oct. 31, for Halloween.  Representatives from the clubs, including students from the Alpha Gamma Sigma (AGS), and the Association of Latino Students (ALAS), and Veteran’s Club participated in the pie-eating contest at the Lower Quad. The clubs each had their own costumes theme such as asylum and zombie Disney.  Some students even dressed up for extra credits offered in their class for participation. All clubs handed out information and promoted their upcoming events.  ALAS even advocated Kids’ Book Drive that will be taking place all of November; a bin will be located at the Student Union to collect the books.
