Despicable Me 2 captures large audiences during opening weekend

On July 3, Despicable Me 2 was officially released in movie theaters across the United States.
As a sequel of Despicable Me, released in 2010, Illumination Entertainment, directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud, produced it. This movie quickly gained popularity among both teens and adults, and was listed as a must-see movie for the summer.
Through the trailer, we can already get a glimpse of fun in the movie. Gru is asked by Lucy Wilde, an Anti-Villain League agent, to join a special mission. According to the AVL, they are tracing a super-villain who stole a chemical that can turn people crazy by injection.
As Gru and Lucy trying to figure out who the person is, Gru’s minions are getting fewer and fewer, but unfortunately they haven’t noticed it until the last minute. Also in the movie, there are a lot of fun twists: how do Gru’s minions mysteriously disappear? How does the relationship start between Gru and Lucy? Do they finally hunt down the real super-villain? These questions accompany with their exciting adventure will lead you to an amazing experience in the ninety-eight minutes.
From the first to second movie, audiences can see great changes on the main character Gru and the gradual development he undergoes. From a bad guy who has awful temper, he finally becomes a person who is willing to sacrifice for other people.
In the beginning of the movie, he appears to be really stubborn and won’t listen to his partner’s opinion at all, but the chemistry with Lucy turns him into a total different person.
Eventually, he even risks his own life to save his loved one. Character Lucy is also an interesting girl who gives the whole movie a more exciting and fun twist .
I think this is a really good movie and I do recommend it to other people. It is a great choice if you are looking for a relaxing, comedy film to watch with family and friends. I like it a lot and hope you enjoy it as well. Also, if you have already watched it and like it a lot, please look forward to the spin-off film, Minions. It focuses mainly on Gru’s yellow minions before they met, and it will be released in December 2014.
