Student art show continues to enthrall audiences

Rio Hondo’s annual Student Art Show has been attracting attention of students, faculty, and visitors since it opened on May 7.

Students created these artworks in different styles, forms, and materials, to impress the viewers with their imagination and creativity.

Forgotten, a sketch by Tommy Bui, depicts a little wooden house in the woods. Although the sketch dominates the canvas, it clearly expresses the tranquil feeling that the artist wanted to communicate with the viewers. The shadows indicate the light falling through the branches on the house, and farther emphasis the quietness and the peacefulness of this “forgotten” place.

This art show will last till the end of July. All artwork displayed in the gallery show the strength in the contribution of students from all areas of the art department on a variety of levels.
