Clippers travel to Utah to face Jazz in potential playoff matchup

The Los Angeles Clippers will visit Utah tonight, March 13, to take on the Jazz at six pm. The game could end up having a huge impact on playoff seeding. Utah (41-25) currently has a one-game lead over the Clippers (40-26) for the fourth-seed in the Western Conference.

Since Chris Paul has returned from injury the Clippers have gotten back to their winning ways. They’ve now won four of their last five games after losing four-of-five before that. With the playoffs starting the middle of next month, things are looking to come together at the right time for the Clippers.

The same could be said for the Jazz, however. Although they suffered a close loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, Utah had won their previous four games. Even with the loss to the Thunder, the Jazz have still won seven of their last ten.

Los Angeles’ matchup with the Jazz Monday night could be a playoff preview if the teams don’t move far in the rankings. The four-and-five seeds face each other in the first round of the playoffs. This could lead to the two teams trying a bit harder to earn today’s victory so they could get an edge over their potential opponent.

The Western Conference showdown between the Clippers and Jazz will take place at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah tonight at six pm.
