Target goes full Nintendo

Are you a fan of Mario Kart? Are you an avid shopper of Target? Well do I got some news for you! Target has just announced they will be turning over 650 stores across the US into a giant mario race track.

The reasoning behind this awesome idea, is to help promote Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which will be out for the Switch April 28th. They’re going to be calling the carts “Super Target Karts” and they’re going to have a Mario, Luigi, and Peach. Sorry for those Donkey Kong and Bowser fans. The minute a shopper walks in they will be greeted by flashing lights and the Super Mario Bros theme song, as  they walk by the start line in the store.

If you’re not interested in racing across the store, you can go outside and see how the big red balls change. Much like when Pokemon Go was a hit with the giant poke balls outside, they will be turning them into Mario and Luigi heads.

Now before you get all excited, like all good things it won’t last. This wonderful thing is only going to be at Targets with a supermarket, so keep your eyes out! This is going to be around for a few weeks so hopefully the kids or adults won’t cause that much mayhem around the store. So Target employees can rest a little.

If you have no interest in any of this, stay out of the market department. Or you’ll get hit by a red shell!
